I received my PhD in Computer Science from the University of Montpellier II, LIRMM, France, in 1993. My PhD subject dealt with office information systems and it concerned the modeling and the planning of office tasks. The first results of my PhD work have been published at and . A complete abstract of my PhD has been published at . From 1994 to 1997 I held a position of Visiting Professor at the Electrical and Computer Engineering department of the Federal University of Maranhão- Brazil (DEE_UFMA). I was involved in a new Post-Graduate program for the M.Sc and Ph.D. degrees. I led two research projects entitled respectively GOOSM (A generic Object Oriented Semantic Model) and WEICOT (A Workflow Environment Integrating Cooperation and Temporal Organisation). From 1997 to 1999, I held the position of Invited Professor at the University of Minho-Portugal. I was involved in a new master program in information systems for the department of information systems - DSI. I led a research project entitled REENG-DB (Reverse Engineering of Relational Databases) which received a grant from a special research program PRAXIS in Portugal. Since 1999, I am an associate professor at ESEO in Angers-France, a graduate school of engineering in electronics, computing, networking and telecommunications. My lectures are mainly in three areas: “Object Oriented Modeling and design”, “Relational and advanced Database systems”, “Web architectures and Web Services”. Since 2002, my research interests have been in the main area of Model Driven Engineering with the focus on two application domains: Web Services and Context-Awareness. You can find here my current research projects. I have contributed to the publication of more than 80 references including papers in conferences, chapters of books, journals, and conference proceedings and have been the co-editor of two books.
